From the farmerto the digital world.

Bringing a 40+ year-old Knysna institution into the modern digital age.

Farmer's Butchery has been serving the Knysna community since 1984. Armstrong Labs is building its first comprehensive digital presence — bringing the butchery, grocery store and Farmer's Grill restaurant together under one modern digital home.

The challenge

A great business with almost no digital footprint.

Farmer's Butchery is an established physical business with decades of history, customer relationships and local reputation. But customers increasingly discover local businesses online — and there is very little to find.

The challenge is not to reinvent the business. It is to make the existing business easier to discover, understand, visit and engage with digitally.

The opportunity

  • 01Establish a professional online presence
  • 02Clearly communicate what the business offers
  • 03Showcase the butchery and grocery offering
  • 04Introduce Farmer's Grill
  • 05Make location and opening hours easy to find
  • 06Provide direct contact options
  • 07Build a platform that can later support menus, promotions and products
  • 08Create a foundation the business can keep building on

The solution

One digital home. Multiple parts of the business.

The website becomes the central hub for everything the business does — each part with its own place, all under one roof.

Armstrong Labs perspective

Why this matters

Digital transformation doesn't always mean building something from scratch.

Sometimes it means taking something that already works — a trusted local business, a strong reputation and decades of history — and giving it the digital infrastructure it deserves.

Armstrong Labs is creating the digital layer around an established physical business, giving the next generation of customers a way to discover it, understand it and connect with it.

The digital stack

  1. Foundation

    Brand + business information

  2. Discovery

Search + Google presence + local visibility

  3. Experience

    Modern responsive website

  4. Engagement

    Contact + directions + enquiries

  5. Growth

Menus + promotions + content + future digital services
